How do I go about this?

I have the following instructions to attend to from a job I recently got:
"On an Ubuntu server,
This is your project. Do the research on what hardware config is best, network infrastructure, endpoints, plugins etc.

I want to distribute live TV plugged in from 1 DSTV decoder plus VOD". This should be running fully on IP. I will appreciate for the help

I worked a couple of years with National Captioning to get their new facility started up in Dallas, Texas. They had satellite feeds coming in.

Step 1: Each AV input went to a different receiver (cable box, DirectTV receiver, etc). Most of those required a subscription from the owning company.

Step 2: Each receiver feed was routed to a multiplexer to have a unique frequency assigned to it. AV multiplexers are sold according to how many channels you want to make available.

Note 3: The multiplexer was sent to an in-house transmitter. For this, you would need to find an AV Transmitter.

Note 4: From there, each of the Closed Captioning Studios was then able to scroll through a list of programs on the TVs in those studios using a standard TV remote.
